Ok, so some of you may be wondering what all this Kitchen Miss Adventures is all about. Who am I and what makes me tick. This is my attempt to get you up to speed.
I have two of the best kids in the world. S, my son, is almost 11. He is such a good little boy. Always such a pleaser. My daugher B, is 9. She is a free spririt for sure. What a creative little devil she is. While S is more interested in cooking then B, B sure can use her creative genius to decorate adorable cakes and cookies. B is definitely more interested in the visual side of cooking. Good thing presentation is just as important.
Working full time leaves me very little time to cook every night. I work about 50 + hours a week, so I have managed to schedule which nights of the week I will prepare home cooked meals for my kids. Using websites like Allrecipes.com, I can come up with new and exciting menus for the coming week. Its been a time saver, not to mention I have saved tons of money not making addition trips to the grocery store during the week. Another bonus of shopping from a menu is that the leftovers make great lunches. Yay for saving money!!
With any luck, you will find my triumphs and tragedies amusing. I know I always do.
And please, feel free to try any of the recipes I post yourself, but dont stop there. Tell me what you think. I am always looking for ways to tweak and improve a dish. And of course share your recipes with me. I promise that I will give it a shot.
